AI Memories is a visual response project that asks about the relationship between human memory and new technologies of simulation. Against the idea that memories are irrecoverable or ambiguous, artificial intelligence promises generative visual possibilities for imagining beyond the boundaries of the present, and indeed beyond the limits of the real or otherwise verifiable. This project asks participants to document a memory using an artificial intelligence image generator, giving visual form to what otherwise exists only in the individual space of personal history.
